Male vs Female ('Sempurna' Song) - You judge

This is Andra and the Back Bone's Version

This is Gita Gutawa's Version

These clips are different versions of the same song (I know, I am a bit outdated, this is an old song... bla bla bla). Which one is better? You vote, you decide.. I cant decide which one is better. Both have their own strength and charm. Uish..

Sempurna...

Kau begitu sempurna
Di mataku kau begitu indah
Kau membuat diriku akan selalu memujamu

Di setiap langkahku ku kan
selalu memikirkan dirimu
Tak bisa ku bayangkan
Hidupku tanpa cintamu

Janganlah kau tinggalkan diriku
tak kan mampu menghadapi semua
Hanya bersamamu ku akan bisa

Kau adalah darahku
Kau adalah jantungku
Kau adlah hidup ku lengkapi diriku oh sayang engkau begitu sempurna .. sempurna

Fortune-500: Rich List... (When is my turn??)

After 13 years on top, Bill Gates is no longer the richest man in the world. That honor now belongs to his friend and sometimes bridge partner Warren Buffett.

Riding the surging price of Berkshire Hathaway stock, Buffett has seen his fortune swell to an estimated $62 billion, up $10 billion from a year ago.

Gates is now worth $58 billion and is ranked third richest in the world. He is up $2 billion from a year ago, but would have been as rich--or richer--than Buffett, had Microsoft not made an unsolicited bid for Yahoo! at the beginning of February. Mexican telecom mogul Carlos Slim HelĂș now ranks as the world's second richest person with a net worth of $60 billion.

    Tagged From Mr Darwish

Thank you for asking me these questions (kalau aku ada masa aku jawab definitely), these are my answers:

    1) what makes u sad

Its hard to make me sad. I remember last time I cried out loud was when my (really really) best friend left to other country to pursue his study, and that was after 18 years (when my father passed away..). Anyway, now the only thing that makes me sad is: if someone I hoped for and loved let me down.

    2) between beyonce & jlo?

Well, interesting question, whether I prefer an iced-white coffee or caffe latte. No No.. they can't be compared to those items since they are an item themselves. So, personal choice, Beyonce. She has attitude, good voice, good figure, more sexual attraction... J-Lo.. just and purely sexual attraction.

    3) is it difficult to hanlde machintosh for someone who has been using windows forever?

No, its not difficult. If you learned windows in a day. You should expect to spend a week to be able to use Mac. Mac is an interesting machine to work with, many good features and super fast, but (a simple example), you are used to have right and left-click on your mouse with windows, and with mac u have only 1.. Its like switching from manual car to auto car.. needs a lil bit while to get used to.

    4) what if your fav food?

Favourite foods, hmm banyakk... but if a friend would like to belanja me, I would ask for Salmon Grilled kat Chillis.. Anything Salmon-ish is yum yummmm...

To credit my mom (the greatest cook in the world - sayanggg makk), I love her Ikan Pari Masak Pecal, uhhh terangkatttt...

But to hell with this, my choice is tepi pantai. Jeles jugak seeing those who managed to own a house by the beach, to wake up in the morning because of high tide and sound of waves, to feel the sea breeze on my face while watching the sun set through the windows, and having a barbeque right besides the beach.. arghhh.. my dreammm..

Just got back from The Incredible Hulk...

It is certainly far far better than the Ang Lee's version.. 'Leaning as far away from the dire Ang Lee account as possible, The Incredible Hulk will probably smash bank for its determinedly crowd-pleasing, pure Saturday matinées entertainment value. Iron Man, it ain't, but it's still fun'.

We had fun... after wayang session, all of us (almost spontaneously) wanted (or more to 'gian') to lepak at mapley. But where got mapley here maaa.. So ended up, we lepak kat rumah Abg Sani and K Salina and had the best cucur kodok in the world!!..

So the movie is 4/5... For more review, visit: http://www.rottentomatoes.com --> arguably the best source of movie review on the net.

Guys, lets go for wayang again next time, hmmm Kung Fu Panda? Anyone?

Questions by Yunos aka Darwish (Riyadh)

These questions were posted by Mr Darwish of Riyadh.. (Darwish, aku harap ko happy dengan jawapan aku.....).

    1) between iphone and N96 which one is your choice? and why

Well, depends on when (If I would like to own one). If I need a phone NOW, I'd go for Nokia N96, since Nokia N96 is a proven gadget for those who love Nokia and high-tech stuff (basically N96 got everything you need: good brand (read: quality and name), GPRS, high mega pixel camera, WAP, e-music, and other interesting features.

But if I am patient enough, I'd wait for the new/second model (read: improved model) of iphone. Since, you know, every system or gadget has its flaw during its debut. However, overall features of Iphone are excellent, and off course its from MAC.

Conclusion: I'd choose an IMPROVED version of Iphone rather than Nokia N96.

    2) do you think pak lah should step down?

THis is a question that should be answered with a question: Why should Pak Lah remains in the government? Has he make any workable solutions and decisions for us (the Rakyat)? and the decision to terminate the oil subsidies (yet again) proven that he is not the person should be up there. Opps.. sorry

    3) kat mana nak carik rempah briyani yang best kat batu pahat? or any other places...hehe

Batu Pahat mmg terkenal dgn beriani gam dia (tak sia-sia aku jadi org batu pahat). One of the best is Beriani Gam Taman Soga, and Beriani Mad Shah. For Rempah beriani, if you go and browse the pasar pagi at Jalan Penggaram, there will be a stall selling rempah beriani, run by an indian muslim. Very cheap.

    4) im stuck between sony vio and Apple..what is your suggestion?

Its a really tough question: are you a fan of Macintosh system? If you are not, rather stick your head with Sony Vaio. This is a choice between the superpower Dodge-Viper car and BMW. Where Viper is the mac and BMW is the Vaio.

For me, soal hati is really subjective. Its a question whether you'd rather sacrifice for the one you loved and let him/her be happy with his/her life (and off course you will suffer out of it). But at the end you will know that his/her happiness is the answer to your need. But I'd rather doubt a person would be as genuine... So, for me the key important thing is to let your heart out and be heard!!.. The outcome of it let Allah decides.

    Movie Time... Incredible Hulk

Today, another break from study: Movie!!!...

I am going to watch The Incredible Hulk at the Hoyts Cinema (with Aji, Ramizah, A Rahim, Nana and Kak Cik). Hmm plus me = 6 persons (how can I fit them into 1 car?) hehe.. Kena menyadin laaa jawabnya.

THis version so far has received favourable critics. Since they compared this version with Ang Lee's version released few years ago. Hoping for the best.

    Euro 2008 - June 11 Update

    Portugal 3 - Czech 1
    Turkey 2 - Swiss 1

Deco had given Portugal an eighth-minute lead after good work from Ronaldo before Libor Sionko's thumping header levelled proceedings. However, Ronaldo turned on the style in the second half, providing a sublime finish from the edge of the area in the 63rd minute before supplying Ricardo Quaresma to round things off in added time. The win left Portugal top of Group A with six points and their last-eight place was confirmed by Turkey's last-gasp victory over Switzerland later in the evening – a result that leaves the Czechs tied in second with Fatih Terim's side on three points ahead of their decisive meeting on Sunday, which if it is drawn will go to penalties.

    Keruntuhan Rumahtangga... Aduhai

Kelima - Sentiasa berusaha mengeratkan hubungan silaturrahim sesama ahli keluarga.

    Euro 2008 - Italy vs Netherlands .. (0 - 3)

    First Goal

    Second Goal

    Third Goal

The Netherlands ended a 30-year wait for a victory over Italy in emphatic fashion as they began their Group C campaign with a rousing 3-0 win against the world champions in Berne.

Ruud van Nistelrooy side-footed the Oranje ahead in the 26th minute, a lead doubled superbly by his Real Madrid CF colleague Wesley Sneijder soon after. Edwin van der Sar, becoming only the third player to appear in four UEFA European Championships, then kept the advantage intact, leaving Giovanni van Bronckhorst to complete the scoring with a headed third in the 79th minute. The Netherlands can now look forward with confidence to Friday's meeting with France, while Italy must pick themselves up from a worst-ever EURO defeat when they face Romania.

Come on bangkit Italy, jangan la sebab Kapten tumbang korang pun tak de semangat. Remember my dream final: Portugal - Italy

    Euro 2008 - Fever

Sports, and football in particular, is an important source of international prestige and national sentiment (I think... at least for majority of countries). Euro 200X, The European football/soccer championship is held every 4 years. This year, with political tensions rising in Europe, the stakes are higher than ever for Euro 2008. Will usual superpowers like France, Italy or Germany win, an outsider like Greece in 2004 (may be), or maybe Russia, which is rapidly increasing its international standing. But the interesting question is: Who will win Euro 2008?

Of course I bet in Portugal but i think that the big surprise in Euro 2008 will be Switzerland. And a final between Italy and Portugal is what I am wishing for.. Below is the timetable for Euro 2008. With the noted match that I will likely watch ( I can't watch all since its odd timing here).

7th June Basle Switzerland v Czech

Places to Visit before I die... Top Ten

My Niece: Alisya (daughter of Fadila and Lutfi)

Last night, I had a dream.. a rather good one. (in the dream) I went to places that I have never seen (in my life).. I wished the dream's true, but I was awakened by the subuh alarm... Fushhhhh, there goes my sweet dream..

Everybody has their own dream places to visit. As part of my hobby, I have travelled to many places. But there are few places that I wish to visit (or revisit) before I die (nak join travel ke next time.. ring me, we set a plan):

1 - Mekah - (obviously, the most holy place on earth)
2 - Bali - (been here 2 years ago, the place has just got its charm and beauty)
3 - Prague - (been dreaming to visit Prague ever since I watched The Mission Impossible, truly beautiful and impressive architectures)
4 - Tokyo - (I wanna be lost in translation..:))
5 - New Zealand - (the land of LOTR, simply breathtaking views and nature)
6 - Petra, Jordan - (for its majestic The Ancient CIty of Petra)
7 - Venice - (its just so ramantic, to ride on a gondola, or be in the Carnivale)
    8 - Dubai - (everything is gigantic and over-the-top, I heard..)
9 - Hong Kong - (I just dont know why, but I wanna go there)
10- Alaska - (its good to be on an extreme-weathered country (to be able to appreciate what we have in Malaysia - kalau tak asyik bising je 'panaaaas, panaaaaaaas'))

    Minyak.. Oil.. Petroleum.. Crises

Since the last two days, till now I could still feel the heat (eventho I am in Sydney), what else, the heat of thousands vehicles queuing up to fill up the tank: more than 40% increase in petrol price!!.. The highest ever.. Has Pak Lah's and his cabinets gone mad?? (may be he was not aware) The stumbled of his army on the PRU 2008 was not enough to weaken his popularity among us, and let alone came this SUDDEN and SHOCKING news.. again, 40% is not a small number: if I got my mathematics right: my WJV 2509 Blue WAJA would take up more than RM 160 for full-tanked fuel (as opposed to just RM 110 merely 3 months ago!!) - aduss, dengan gaji tak seberapa, mana la nak cekau duit isi minyak gi keje..

Do you guys know that, the 'lovely' Najib always 'know' how to comfort us by telling us: that our oil price is among the lowest in the region (or even the world), has he seen the figures from other countries like Iran, Venezuela, etc?, just take a look at these figures and think for yourself:

    Iran — RM0.29 seliter.

    UAE — RM1.19 seliter

    Venezuela — RM0.16 seliter

    Nigeria — RM0.32 seliter

    Arab Saudi — RM0.38 seliter

    Mesir — RM1.03 seliter

    Kuwait — RM0.67 seliter

    Brunei — RM2.03 seliter

    Malaysia — RM2.70 seliter

'There are many reasons for the rise of prices, but no matter what they are, the people are the one who bear the pressure. The question is, how long could the people withstand spiralling prices? Does the government and employers have any measure to help the helpless people?

In fact, there are ways to cope with the issue but the key is to profoundly think and to effectively implement the policies. Of course, the most immediate way is to increase salary or give out “temporary living subsidies”, but at the same time, productivity must be increased as well.

The government may also consider tax reduction, including the increase in the income tax threshhold, reduce industrial tax, assessment tax and road tax to alleviate the people's pressure.

Actually, in such a situation, the people and the government will have to spend wisely but it is not the best solution to keep cutting expenditure. It is better to find revenue than keep cutting expenditure. Oh please, those people in power, please find another way to raise revenue!'

    We are Going to Tasmania

We need a break once in a while. Break from anti-communism, break from rebellious acts, break from suicidal missions :), break from mind-boggling jobs and assignments (those are never-ending).. Break is good. Still remember, when I was in primary school, having a break or recess was never on my list of things to look forward to everyday, not because I was a nerd and craved for knowledge, but simply because the canteen did not sell halal foods (or they did, but I rather doubt it). So, whenever bell rings for recess, I was not as happy as other kids.. but I didn't mind back then... But when we get older, we seriously need a break every now and then.

Talking about 'break', we are going to Tasmania this weekend (Saturday to Tuesday). We (Abg Mat, Kak Nani, A Rahim, Kak Zura, Aji, Auntie Mi, Azura and myself) will be heading to the airport (Sydney Airport) early in the morning tomorrow (7 am?) since the flight (Jetstar) will depart at 9 am.

We will spend 4 days there. What to do? There are many things on the list which include fishing, horseback riding, sauna, spa, barBQ, movies, etc.. Sempat ke nak buat semua tu oiii..

Argh, can't wait for tomorrow to come.... Reminder to myself: To bring along journals to Tasmania (in case).. hehehe

Remember Tasmanian Devil? (ala binatang yang makan semua benda tuh - dlam kartun). Hmm I wish to see one when we are there..

    ~The Dapur Melayu~ Kitchen Corner

Last two weeks, (out of the blue) we discussed a plan (a simple plan) to start our own business called 'The Dapur Melayu'. Abg Rahim, Aji, Kak Zura and Myself the 4 CEOs of the company. Initial target is simple: To sell and introduce Malaysian foods to Sydney chums. We do not aim high at the beginning, low gear pleaseee, by selling an average of 50 - 100 meals per day for AUD 5 per meal. If the market and demand are high enough for us to increase the supply, we will go ahead at high speed (maximum gear).

Few menus are listed out: Nasi Tomato, Nasi Minyak, Nasi Ayam, Nasi Berlauk, Nasi Goreng Ayam, and few others.

Well, we shopped for the raw materials for our first menu, Nasi Tomato. Will be on the shelf this week on Friday (supposedly). However, few more items and permissions from the authority has yet to be approved. So we defer the plan til next week.

Here we come 'The Dapur Melayu'...

    Adios

    KepadaMu Kekasih.. M Nasir

Last Night I spend another 5 minutes to sing the M Nasir's beautiful number, 'Kepadamu Kekasih'... The lyrics make me wonder of how big God is to us..

"Kepadamu Kekasih, Aku Bertanya, Apakah Kau Akan Menerimaku Kembali, Atau Harus Menghitung Lagi Segala Jasa Dan Bakti, Atau Harus Mencampakku Kesisi Tanpa Harga Diri.."

In Some CircumstanCes.. You tend to be DEpRessed

Everyone gets the blues now and then, but when there is only little joy or pleasure after visiting with friends or after seeing a good movie, there may be a more serious problem. A depressed mood that stays around for a while, without letting up, can change the way a person thinks or feels. My brother (whom I called The Great Psychiatrist - He is, indeed. To be honest..) called this “clinical depression.”

I will be having another presentation this Friday. In 2 months, what can I produce? PhD PhD - permanent Head Damage haha.. I am taking this slowly: one at a time. As a result, as its getting nearer to the presentation day.. I get jitters.. To calm myself down, I had a 'conversation' with my alter-ego 'Argh don't worry lah bro, things will be over soon without you notice it, then we can have the time of our life, going for a vacation, they don't know what you will be talking about anyway, so I am sure there will be no single question from them, go to hell with them lol!!'. for a moment, I almost felt it was like another Smeagol-Gollum remake..

Hey, i better share with you these things ya, you may or may not know that you might have the so called clinical-depression. No harm to go through this list, manalah tau kan:

    * a persistent sad, “empty” mood
    * sleeping too little or too much
    * reduced appetite and weight loss, or increased appetite and weight gain
    * loss of interest or lack of pleasure in activities once enjoyed, including sex
    * restlessness or irritability
    * difficulty concentrating, remembering or making decisions
    * fatigue or loss of energy
    * feeling guilty, hopeless or worthless

Last but not least, for those who read this post, doakan leee aku lepas presentation tu dgn jayanya!!

Malaysian Hall Open Day 2008 Pictures

Its Malaysian Hall Open Day 2008..... The story will come...

    Sunday Night Fever

Its a beautiful Monday Morning. I was late to bed last nite. It wasn't a long night, but we (me, abg rahim, aji and kak zura) had such a good time karaoke-ing the whole nite, only to discover that we already missed half of Eurovision Song Contest 2008 on SBS..

Karaoke First - We sang few (hmm many..) songs on our list of songs, Lagenda Rock Klasik (hehe don't laugh), Jamal Abdillah, Kembara M Nasir, Spring. Kak Zura with her beautiful rendition of Sharifah Aini (she could be SA, only if she adds tiga dagu under her chin), and Abg Rahim with his Stings songs.. They said I have a good tone of voice (acheeehhhhh!!), however the control of high notes are still under average aahaha.. Well I ain't born to be a singer, but I guess I can be a good singer with a proper guidance and mentoring.

Then we switched off the karaoke set and on the TV (SBS), the Eurovision Song COntest 2008 was up (and its already half way, arghh). Lucky for us, we still managed to watch few countries performed (and they were awesome): Greece, Serbia, Turkey, Russia.. And it ain't a surprise that RUssia bagged the top honor. But I still loved the Serbia's performance and Greece's, I guess either should win the contest. Hmmm when it comes to phone-voting competition, many factors can affect the result, most of all political and historical factors (in this case)...

Here is the Winner... Russia.. The performance was tip top but not the song and the singer..

But salute to Russia and Greece (Top and Runner Up) and my personal choice still Serbia's... They are awesome!!

    Cinema Cinema Cinema.. Movies Wish-List

The last movie that I really enjoyed most was The Spiderwick's Chronicle over at Hoyts Cinema Eastgarden Mall. Apart from that other movies were simply lackluster. Here is the movie-list that I am dying to watch (forgive me since I have not been to cinema that often now):

    1 - The Iron Man
    2 - Congkak
3- The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
    4 - Mongol
    5 - GI Joe
6 - Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince
    7 - The Incredible Hulk
    8 - Hellboy II

What about Sex and The City: The Movie and Indiana Jones? Hmm yeah yeahh with all the hype.. I will buy the ticket if somebody dragged me to the cinema...

Dr Seuss: Horton Hears a Who? Best ke?

    Its Been A While..

Hmm Its been a while since my last post on this blog. Where was I.. Time is just ain't enough for me (at least to sit down quietly and start writing on this humble blog of mine). Even If its 48 hours a day, I still do not think it is enough.. But being a human meself, anything can never be enough for me. I always want more more and more. When I was a kid, my mom bought me a Superman T-Shirt (orange color), but the next day, I forcefully pulled her dress and demanded a Spiderman T-Shirt, and the list kept on going til one day my mom said: 'Please be grateful of what you have already had, for things will just be taken away from you if you don't'... Hmm that has kept me on my ground (for almost an hour before I turned back to the usual demanding-me.. :)). Sorry Mom.. But you are the greatest Mom in this whole world!!

And that old-time-say 'Grass is Always Greener on the other side' almost applicable to me on every single event that had happened to me. Til now.. Am I an ungrateful son-of-a-gun? (what the hell is this really means, but its simply kewl' to hear those american actors say it), No!! Certainly not, since my mom has thought me well in that 'department'. But I guess as I am counting my linearly rising age, nearing 30: life is just to short to enjoy everything....

Been reading few articles over Malaysia Today, and its very interesting to observe (from a different point of view) what Malaysia's political environment has gone through since the day of PRU (it was one day before my flight to Sydney - oooh I could (still) feel the excitement when they announced Mr Samy Bullu lost his seat): with Anwar's army is getting stronger by day, our former PM retracted himself from UMNO (in which he was the pioneer - New UMNO), with that 'bloody' Karpal Singh who think that he is superior beyond political and religions, with PAS who pusposedly forgetting the promises they made during PRU, with Pak Lah's (the flip flop) credibility going down the drain, and that Najib's brother debut on the Rich List.....

What is happening to our country????? Are we forgetting the day when Pak Ungku proudly brought our country its MERDEKA!!..

Hmm pening pening bila fikir pasal nih... But 1 thing for sure, I am still proud to be Malaysian!!!!

    Wonders of the World

It has always been on my list of 'Things to Do Before I Die': .. to visit The Great Pyramid of Giza.. and other wonders of the world. God works in miraculous way. In January (this year), UTP has selected me to be part of UTP Egypt Delegations. It was a breathtaking moment, when I touched the pyramid with my bare hand, 'How on earth these guys built the pyramids' - it was truly majestic. Haaa.. The countdown of my Wonders of The World checklist has begun: 3 down (Pyramids and Colloseum plus Christ the Redeemer) 5 to go!!! Next stop: Great Wall of China?

The New 7 wonders of the World:

In 2001 an initiative was started by Swiss corporation New Open World Corporation (NOWC) to choose the New Seven Wonders of the World from a selection of 200 existing monuments for profit. Twenty-one finalists were announced January 1, 2006. Egypt was not happy with the fact that the only original wonder would have to compete with the likes of the Statue of Liberty, the Sydney Opera House, the Taj Mahal, and other landmarks; and called the project absurd. To solve this, Giza was named an honorary Candidate. The results were announced on July 7, 2007and are:

    Wonder Date of construction Location
Great Wall of China 5th century BCE – 16th century CE China
    Petra 6th century BCE Jordan
Christ the Redeemer (statue) Opened 12 October 1931 Brazil
    Machu Picchu c.1450 Peru
    Chichen Itza c.600 Mexico
    Colosseum Completed 80 CE Italy
    Taj Mahal Completed c.1648 India
Great Pyramid (Honorary Candidate) Completed c.2560 BCE Egypt
