Sports, and football in particular, is an important source of international prestige and national sentiment (I think... at least for majority of countries). Euro 200X, The European football/soccer championship is held every 4 years. This year, with political tensions rising in Europe, the stakes are higher than ever for Euro 2008. Will usual superpowers like France, Italy or Germany win, an outsider like Greece in 2004 (may be), or maybe Russia, which is rapidly increasing its international standing. But the interesting question is: Who will win Euro 2008?
Of course I bet in Portugal but i think that the big surprise in Euro 2008 will be Switzerland. And a final between Italy and Portugal is what I am wishing for.. Below is the timetable for Euro 2008. With the noted match that I will likely watch ( I can't watch all since its odd timing here).
